Some weeks ago, Yoshi wrote on the Maniaplanet official forum that he was working on an incredible project. Indeed, he posted a Youtube video that was showing his Multiplayer Editor! This version is in ultra Pre-Alpha, but still seems to work. This subject, this video and this project were not really followed by the community yet, despite the fact that, for us as for all the Mappers, this project seems to be the most amazing one made by one member of the community since Unlimiter.
If Yoshi manages to get this work perfectly, this could be really revolutionary and bring some great new possibilities... So we deceided to meet Yoshi and asked him to talk a bit about himself.

The Interview :
Hey Yoshi, so first of all can you introduce yourself?
I'm TGYoshi aka Tiggs in-game. I joined the TM world several years ago, mainly because I was able to be creative using the awesome track editor. The creative aspect in the game is what keeps me here. Nowadays I always try to do unconventional things so it jumps out a bit more. My coding interests hopped over to TM, coding server controllers, controller-based game-modes for TMUF etc. As MP came I loved the announcement of "ManiaScript" too, even though it's quite limited now.
Can you introduce your new tool?
My new tool allows building maps on several editors at the same time. Using ManiaScript I was able to get and build map blocks and terrain. After some time I was able to transfer data to an external application from ManiaScript, through xml-rpc callbacks. Soon after I thought about a multiplayer map editor. It works pretty great I'd say, and it's even very fast. At the moment building and removal of blocks works completely. Things like 3D copy/paste and macroblocks are supported too.
I know its alpha stage for your tool but will you work on it so as it will be full usable?
Yes, I'm still working on it as we speak. Right now I'm working on serializing and building terrain so this data can be transferred as well. Once these basic features work I expect to release it on GitHub so others can contribute, download and use it however they want.
Do you have some other projects that may look like this one?
I do have several projects at the moment, but I won't reveal anything unless I have something to show as I sometimes abort projects as well.
So, thanks a lot Yoshi for your awesome work, and we can not wait to test your great tool by ourselves!
