ESWC has announced 3 new games as official disciplines and TrackMania² Stadium is in.

"We are very pleased today to confirm 3 additional games titles as official discplines for ESWC 2013:

Dota 2 on PC (5v5), © Valve Software
-
EA SPORTS FIFA on PS3 (1v1), © EA Sports
-
TrackMania² Stadium on PC (1v4), © Nadeo Ubisoft
2012 champions already have the right to participate to defend their Titles: Team Natus Vincere of Ukraine for Dota 2, Bruce 'Spank' Grannec for FIFA, Tim 'Spam' Lunenburg from Netherlands and Kasperi 'Klovni' Aaltonen from Finland for TrackMania.
All other competitors around the world will have to win their participation through online and offline qualifying, whose modalities will be presented end of May on ESWC.com."
Spam (ESWC TMNF 2012 Champion) & Klovni (ESWC TM2C 2012 Champion) will be invited for TrackMania. And we know that the modalities for the qualifications will be released in 15 days.
Now I just hope ESWC will replace Finalist mode with the ESL Cup Mode to make this a truly great event...
...(and pay out the 2008 prize money before it starts as well).
at the moment, I had wished that starcraft 2 was there, then stadium won't be there :O
I am from the ESWC TEAM.We are reading many reactions since yesterday and clearly, there is a real debate with our choice for Trackmania.
We understand some people are very disappointed but we chose to be focus on only one game this year. And like we already confirmed on twitter, it will be Trackmania2 Stadium :)
In the spirit of giving a chance for our 2 champions from last year, we invited them to this tournament. And for all we saw on our facebook, klovni seems very motivated ;) I hope everyone will understand our decision and we will be happy to answer your questions on facebook
Moreover, TMNF is dying slowly especially on offline events. Some years ago the game was played during WCG, DH, etc. Now the Gamers Assembly is maybee the greatest event in terms of skill, which was just a national event 3 years ago.
Right decision according to me.
